The Official Ball of MIVA

 BTMVA at Purdue Information

Updated:   2/7/2014   12:05 AM

France A Cordova Recreational Sports Center, (CoRec)
355 N Martin Jischke Dr, West Lafayette, IN 47906     (NW corner of Martin Jischke Dr an 3rd St)

BTMVA participants should make an effort to thank the Purdue Division of Recreational Sports for making the facilities available.

House Rules

Below are the House Rules that must be followed this year:

NO Outside Chairs:
Chairs will be available for spectator seating.  Individuals may not bring personal chairs.  Please leave your chairs home.

Building Access:
During normal operating hours, all participants and spectators must enter through the CoRec Main Entry off Martin Jischke Dr or the West Side Entry from the parking lot.
On Sunday morning, when the CoRec is closed, participants and spectators may enter through the West Entry.
CoRec Normal Operating Hours:
  • Saturday: 8:00 AM – Midnight
  • Sunday: 10:00 AM – Midnight
BTMVA West Entry Hours:
  • Sunday: 7:00 AM – 10:00 AM
After entering the building, spectators should go to the Member Services desk and identify themselves as volleyball spectators.  They will then be given a wristband that will facilitate entry if they leave the building and return.  All participants must complete a Participant Wavier before entering the building.
Facility Use/Access:
BTMVA participants and spectators will have restricted access to the Lower Gym playing area and designated hospitality room (Multipurpose Room #4) when the CoRec is closed.  Participants and spectators may not check out equipment or utilize facility space not associated with the volleyball event.

Food & Drink:
  • Only bottled water is allowed in the gym.
  • Absolutely NO food or drink is permitted inside the gyms. This includes:   Alcohol (this should go without saying), Sports Drink , Snacks , Energy Bars , etc.
Hospitality Room:
Multipurpose Room #4 will be used for teams to store/consume food and drink. The room is located on the same floor as the Lower Gym (next to the stairs on the Southeast side of CoRec).  Purdue RecSports hopes to have a table for every school, but this may not be doable.  There will be limited access to electrical outlets.  Teams should not expect things that you store in the hospitality room to be secure.
Teams violating the food and drink policy (bringing banned items into the gym), will be subject to an immediate team delay penalty.   If you are not playing at the time of discovery, the penalty will be applied to your team’s next match.
